01 / Summary

About Agent Toolkit.

Stripe AI is Stripe's collection of SDKs, agent skills, and plugins for building AI-powered products on top of Stripe. It bundles two libraries for metering and billing LLM usage, a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, and a set of agent skills that encode Stripe integration guidance for coding agents.

@stripe/ai-sdk connects Stripe billing to Vercel's ai and @ai-sdk libraries, while @stripe/token-meter does the same for the native OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini SDKs without a framework dependency. The remote MCP server at mcp.stripe.com authenticates clients over OAuth and can also back autonomous agents.

The skills follow the Agent Skills format and are distributed as official plugins for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Grok Build, as an Agent Plugins package, or via the skills CLI. Plugin installs update automatically, and manually installed skills are refreshed through the skills CLI.

  • @stripe/ai-sdk: integrates Stripe billing infrastructure with Vercel's ai and @ai-sdk libraries
  • @stripe/token-meter: meters usage for the native OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini SDKs with no framework dependencies
  • Remote MCP server: hosted at https://mcp.stripe.com with OAuth-secured client access, usable by autonomous agents
  • Agent skills: Stripe-maintained instructions so agents follow current Stripe integration practices
  • Harness plugins: official Stripe plugins for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Grok Build that include additional agent tools and auto-update
  • Agent Plugins package: installable from the repository Git URL
