BISHENG is a self-hosted platform for building and operating LLM applications in enterprise settings. It combines an application orchestration framework, a general-purpose agent, document parsing models, and the administrative controls that organizations need to run those applications in production. The name refers to Bi Sheng, the inventor of movable-type printing.
Lingsight is the platform's general-purpose agent. Through the AGL (Agent Guidance Language) framework, domain experts' preferences, experience, and business logic are embedded into the agent so it applies that knowledge when handling tasks. BISHENG Workflow is the orchestration layer: a single framework that runs different task types, supports loops, parallelism, batch processing, and conditional logic, and lets a person intervene and provide feedback mid-execution, including in multi-turn conversations. Control flow is expressed visually, so drawing a loop forms a loop, aligning elements creates parallelism, and selecting multiple items enables batch processing.
Intended application scenarios include document review, fixed-layout report generation, multi-agent collaboration, policy update comparison, support-ticket and customer-service assistance, meeting minutes, resume screening, call record analysis, unstructured data governance, knowledge mining, and data analysis. Enterprise controls cover security review, RBAC, user group management, traffic control by group, SSO and LDAP, vulnerability scanning and patching, high-availability deployment, monitoring, and statistics.
A document parsing model set, trained on data accumulated over five years, handles printed text, handwritten text, rare characters, table recognition, layout analysis, and seals, and can be deployed privately at no cost. The platform runs with Docker Compose and installs Elasticsearch, Milvus, and Onlyoffice alongside it; the stated minimum is 4 virtual cores and 16 GB of RAM, with 18 cores and 48 GB recommended. The first registered user becomes the system admin. The codebase draws on LangChain, Langflow, unstructured, and LlamaFactory.
Features
- Lingsight agent: a general-purpose agent whose behavior is shaped by expert knowledge encoded in AGL (Agent Guidance Language)
- BISHENG Workflow: one orchestration framework for all task types with loops, parallelism, batch processing, and conditional logic
- Human in the loop: users intervene and give feedback during workflow execution, including multi-turn conversations
- Visual control flow: loops, parallelism, and batch processing are expressed by drawing and arranging nodes rather than special components
- Enterprise scenarios: document review, report generation, ticket assistance, meeting minutes, resume screening, knowledge mining, and more
- Enterprise controls: security review, RBAC, user groups, per-group traffic control, SSO/LDAP, vulnerability scanning, HA deployment, and monitoring
- Document parsing: models for printed and handwritten text, rare characters, tables, layout, and seals, deployable privately
- Platform components: GenAI workflow, RAG, agents, unified model management, evaluation, SFT, dataset management, and observability
- Docker Compose deployment: ships with Elasticsearch, Milvus, and Onlyoffice; the first registered user becomes admin
- Shared practice library: an open repository of application cases across enterprise scenarios
