Dograh is a self-hostable voice AI platform for building inbound and outbound phone agents. You design an agent's call flow in a visual workflow builder, test it in the browser by voice or text, and connect it to a telephony provider. It positions itself as an open-source alternative to Vapi and Retell, and a managed cloud version is also available.
Workflows are built from start nodes, agent nodes, global instructions, tools, transitions, and end-call outcomes, with QA nodes, knowledge bases, webhooks, embeds, and tool calling for live deployments. The Test Chat panel lets you edit or replay a user turn and regenerates the agent's replies and node transitions from that point.
Dograh ships with its own LLM, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech stack, so it runs without external keys, and each of those providers, plus telephony, can be swapped for your own. An MCP server lets coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code inspect agents, fetch node schemas, create workflows, and save draft edits from natural language, and Python and Node SDKs create agents and place outbound calls programmatically.
