Harness Anything is a Windows-only Python toolkit that gives an AI agent command-line control over desktop office, design, and research applications. Each component wraps a COM automation interface behind a CLI, so an agent that can run shell commands can create and edit documents, spreadsheets, slides, vector art, and bitmap images. It needs Windows 10 or 11, Python 3.10 or later, and pywin32.
cli-anything-wps provides 47 commands over WPS Office or Microsoft Office. Writer covers paragraphs, headings, lists, tables, images, find-and-replace, and font styling; Calc covers sheet management, cell reads and writes, formulas, merging, and bulk fill; Impress covers adding, editing, and deleting slides, text boxes, shapes, backgrounds, and export. Documents export to DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF, TXT, HTML, CSV, and RTF, and a slide design system adds four presets, fourteen layouts, and a five-dimension quality review. The COM interface is compatible with Microsoft Office VBA, so targeting Microsoft Office is a change of ProgID to PowerPoint.Application, Word.Application, or Excel.Application.
cli-anything-zotero combines reference management with 27 academic skills, run individually or as pipelines such as an original-article or meta-analysis flow, and can print a journal's figure specification.

Two further harnesses drive Adobe applications through the same CLI-to-COM chain. The Illustrator harness has command groups for documents, layers, shapes, text, and export to PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, and AI. The Photoshop harness covers documents, document properties, layers, selections, image adjustments, text layers, filters, and export to PNG, JPEG, WebP, and PSD. Both require the 2023 or later version of the application.
A set of slide-generation examples drives WPS from JSON data through a Python engine, routing thirteen element types such as text, image, table, card grids, tagline bars, and horizontal timelines, and producing PPTX and PDF output under a layout convention that keeps body text at 22 point or larger.
