Ona, formerly Gitpod, is a cloud platform for running and governing fleets of autonomous coding agents. Each agent gets a full, sandboxed cloud development environment with its own tools, network access, and permissions, and work is assigned as a task that returns as a pull request once complete.
Agents can be triggered across a codebase through repeatable workflows that run on pull requests, schedules, or webhooks, letting a team run agent fleets at scale rather than one agent at a time. The platform runs inside an organization's own virtual private cloud with network control, audit trails, scoped credentials, and kernel-level policy enforcement, and it is used for tasks such as fixing bugs from tracked issues, triaging error-tracking issues, patching vulnerable dependencies, and modernizing or migrating code.
Ona provides one governed way to run its own agents alongside other agents such as Codex, applying the same policies, permissions, network access, and runtime controls across all of them.
