Palmier Pro

macOS video editor built for AI

01 / Summary

About Palmier Pro.

Palmier Pro is a macOS video editor with generative AI built into the timeline and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets coding agents create and edit a project directly. It is written in Swift, taking Premiere Pro as its reference point for what a full editor should cover.

Video and image generation runs inside the timeline editor using models such as Seedance, Kling, and Nano Banana Pro, so generated clips land on the same timeline as recorded footage. An agent built into the app can work on a project alongside an external agent.

While the app is open it exposes a local MCP server over HTTP. Claude Code and Codex connect to that endpoint with a single command, Cursor connects through an entry in its MCP configuration file, and the app bundles an MCP extension for one-click installation into Claude Desktop.

  • Swift-native editor: a timeline video editor written from scratch for macOS rather than a wrapper around a web stack
  • Generative media on the timeline: video and image generation with models such as Seedance, Kling, and Nano Banana Pro inside the editor
  • MCP server: a local HTTP MCP endpoint served while the app is running
  • Agent connections: setup commands for Claude Code and Codex, a JSON entry for Cursor, and a bundled extension for Claude Desktop
  • In-app agent: an agent inside the app can work on the same project as a connected external agent
  • Platform support: macOS on Apple Silicon
  • Localized documentation: project documentation is published in fifteen languages
