ToolJet

ToolJet is an open-source platform for building internal tools such as admin panels, dashboards, and operational apps on top of existing databases, APIs, and SaaS systems. Apps are assembled in a visual builder from 80+ components, connected to 90+ data sources, and can include JavaScript and Python code. It runs as ToolJet Cloud or self-hosted on Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, and other targets.

Apps can also be built by prompting. ToolJet AI turns a description into pages, queries, and components, and an MCP server (in beta) lets an existing coding agent generate or modify ToolJet apps. Plugins bundling an app-builder skill are available for Claude Code, Codex, and Grok Build, and Cursor or other MCP clients can use the server directly. Agents build against ToolJet's own component and data schemas rather than emitting free-form code, so the result is a regular ToolJet app that the team keeps editing under the same permissions, environments, and version history, and agent operations run on your own model subscription.

The Community Edition covers the visual builder, a built-in no-code database, multi-page apps with multiplayer editing, inline comments, granular access control, encryption, and SSO, plus a CLI for custom plugins and connectors. The commercial ToolJet AI edition adds AI app generation, an AI query builder and debugger, an agent builder, scheduled or webhook-triggered workflows, reusable modules, RBAC with SCIM, multiple environments, Git sync, white-labeling, and embedded apps.
