01 / About

What iPolloWork is.

iPolloWork is a local-first desktop workbench that puts several agent runtimes, one extension system, and editable outputs behind a single project view. Rather than splitting projects or extensions by runtime, it coordinates agents, tasks, schedules, plugins, Skills, tools, execution, and results from one control surface, so a team can describe an outcome, watch agents plan and execute it, approve actions, and keep editing the result in the same place.

OpenCode is the default local execution runtime, downloaded and prepared as a separate sidecar during the first desktop build rather than forked, so it can be upgraded independently. DeepSeek Harness is an optional peer runtime and subagent delegation target, and Codex connects through the ipollowork-ui-mcp control surface, with MCP acting as the integration protocol for that path rather than a fourth engine. Agent execution, task state, and streaming are normalized at a shared engine boundary while engine-native behaviour stays inside each adapter. In the other direction, DeepSeek Harness users can install iPolloWork's Design, PPT, and Video views into the DSH web UI as plugins.

The output is meant to stay editable: code, documents, websites, presentations, design, and video keep their text, images, layouts, timelines, and scenes adjustable after generation instead of collapsing into a finished file or a chat transcript. Plugins, Skills, agents, commands, services, and authorization install, enable, update, and uninstall through one global lifecycle, with optional engine-native bindings behind the same lifecycle.

The application is Electron-based with a shared React interface, an API server, a headless orchestrator, and pinned vendored third-party source, built with Node.js 22, pnpm 11, and Bun. Installers are published for macOS, Windows, and Linux on both x64 and ARM64; local packaging targets only the current machine's OS and CPU and produces unsigned artifacts unless signing credentials are supplied. An optional iPolloCloud control plane handles identity, organizations, entitlements, hosted worker lifecycle, administration, and commercial apps; local operation works without an account.

Features

  • Multiple agent engines: OpenCode by default, DeepSeek Harness as an optional peer runtime, and Codex through an MCP control surface, without rebuilding the project experience per engine
  • One extension lifecycle: portable plugins, Skills, agents, commands, services, and authorization installed and managed once, with engine-native bindings optional
  • Shared project view: responsibilities, tasks, schedules, execution health, and results for people and agents in one place instead of separate chats
  • Editable production loop: code, documents, websites, presentations, design, and video remain editable after generation
  • Subagent delegation: a task can hand bounded work to DeepSeek Harness subagents and bring structured progress and results back into the same project
  • Creative plugins for DSH: Design, PPT, and Video views published as npm packages installable into the DeepSeek Harness web UI
  • Isolated development state: development mode uses separate iPolloWork and OpenCode state rather than overwriting a normal OpenCode configuration
  • Cross-platform desktop builds: macOS, Windows, and Linux installers for x64 and ARM64, with build, unpacked-package, and installer-producing commands
  • Optional cloud control plane: identity, organizations, entitlements, and hosted workers, connected only when a team needs them
