01 / Summary

About OpenChamber.

OpenChamber is a workspace for running and reviewing AI coding work across desktop, web, VS Code, and mobile. It uses OpenCode to run the coding agents and adds the surrounding workflow: starting tasks, keeping the agent on track, reviewing the result, and shipping the change.

An OpenChamber instance runs on a machine you control (a laptop, a Linux box, or a server), runs the agents, and keeps every session after the app closes. The desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux runs its own instance, bundles the OpenCode CLI, and connects to remote instances. A browser or PWA, a VS Code extension (also available for Cursor, Windsurf, and Trae), and iOS and Android apps reach the same projects and sessions.

Remote devices pair once with a QR code and connect through Private Relay, an end-to-end encrypted connection that needs no open port and can be revoked at any time. Direct connections, LAN or VPN access, Cloudflare and Ngrok tunnels, and SSH also work.

Work moves through start, run, and review stages. A session starts from a GitHub issue or pull request, a Linear ticket, a goal, or a schedule. Session Goals keep the agent working until the goal is done, blocked, or over a set limit. Multi-run sends the same task to up to five models in parallel, and review groups a large diff into ordered steps before the change is committed, pushed, and merged from the same window.

  • Session Goals: checks progress after every turn and keeps the agent working until the goal is complete, blocked, or past its limit, even after the app closes
  • Multi-run and Fusion: runs one task on up to five models, each in its own session and optional worktree, then keeps the best result or combines the strongest parts
  • Changes Walkthrough: turns a large diff into ordered steps that explain how the change fits together
  • Preview: shows the running app beside the chat, and pointing at an element sends the agent its screenshot, styles, position, and browser errors
  • GitHub workflow: starts sessions from issues or pull requests, sends failed checks and review comments back to the agent, and updates or merges the pull request
  • Cross-device sessions: the same projects and sessions on desktop, web, VS Code, iOS, and Android, including reattaching to a running terminal
  • Private Relay: QR-code pairing over an end-to-end encrypted connection with no open port, revocable at any time
  • Project tracking: session status, approvals, scheduled tasks, provider limits, token use, and cost per session, with folders, notes, todos, and reusable actions
  • Scheduled work: runs a prompt once, daily, weekly, or on a cron schedule, optionally toward a Session Goal
