01 / Summary

About Orca.

Orca is a desktop app for running several coding agents in parallel, each in its own git worktree, and tracking them in one place. It runs any CLI agent that works in a terminal, including Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, Gemini, and Cursor CLI, on your own subscriptions. You can fan one prompt out to several agents, compare their results, and merge the one you want.

Around the agents it bundles the rest of the development loop: terminal splits with WebGL rendering and scrollback that survives restarts, a VS Code-based editor, diff review with comments sent back to the agent, and native GitHub and Linear views for pull requests, issues, and project boards. A design mode in a real Chromium window sends a clicked element's HTML, CSS, and a cropped screenshot into the agent's prompt.

Worktrees can also live on a remote machine over SSH with file editing, git, and terminals. Agents can drive Orca themselves through its CLI, which creates worktrees, takes snapshots, and clicks and fills UI, and a computer use mode lets them operate desktop apps. The desktop app runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and an iOS and Android companion pairs with it through a relay to notify you when an agent finishes and to send follow-ups.

  • Parallel worktrees: fan one prompt across several agents, each in an isolated git worktree, then compare and merge
  • Any CLI agent: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, and other terminal agents on your own subscription
  • Terminal splits: WebGL-rendered terminals with unlimited splits and persistent scrollback
  • Design mode: click an element in a Chromium window to send its HTML, CSS, and a screenshot to the agent
  • GitHub and Linear: browse pull requests, issues, and boards, and open a worktree from any task
  • SSH worktrees: run agents on a remote machine with editing, git, terminals, auto-reconnect, and port forwarding
  • Diff annotation: comment on diff lines and send the comments back to the agent
  • Editor: a VS Code-based editor with autosave and drag-and-drop of files and images into prompts
  • Orca CLI: agents script worktree creation, snapshots, clicks, and form fills
  • Usage tracking: Claude and Codex usage, rate-limit resets, and account switching
  • Computer use: agents operate desktop apps when a workflow needs real interaction
  • Mobile companion: iOS and Android apps for notifications and follow-ups from your phone
